Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and DealsForYou (“the Operator”, “we”, “us”) regarding your use of the DealsForYou website and any associated pages, APIs, feeds, or other materials (collectively, the “Service”). Your access to or use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to every provision below, you must immediately stop using the Service.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your country of residence. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to access or use the Service for any purpose, and you must leave this site now. The Operator will not knowingly collect or use information from anyone known to be under 18.

DealsForYou is a personal hobby project that aggregates publicly posted deal links from third-party sources (primarily community subreddits such as r/buildapcsales) and displays them in a browsable interface that links out to the original retailer pages.

• We do not sell anything. We do not process payments, fulfil orders, ship goods, or handle returns.
• We do not verify, endorse, sponsor, recommend, or guarantee any product, retailer, listing, price, image, or description displayed.
• We are not affiliated with any retailer, manufacturer, brand, marketplace, subreddit, Reddit, Inc., or any other third party referenced or linked.
• All trademarks, product names, images, and logos belong to their respective owners and are referenced only for descriptive purposes under fair use.

The Service is provided strictly “as is” and “as available”, with all faults, and without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator disclaims all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, security, or quiet enjoyment.

We make no representation or guarantee that:

• Any price displayed is current, accurate, or will be honored.
• Any listed item is in stock or available.
• Outbound links lead to a legitimate, safe, or operational page.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
• Any defect, bug, or interruption will be corrected within any particular time, or at all.

You assume full responsibility and risk for any decision you make based on content shown on the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

This exclusion includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; lost goodwill; cost of substitute goods or services; damages from purchases made with any retailer linked from the Service; damages from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any listing; damages from unauthorized access to or alteration of any transmission; damages from third-party conduct on or affecting the Service; and damages from any matter beyond the Operator’s reasonable control.

The exclusion applies regardless of the legal theory asserted (contract, tort, statute, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if the Operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities; in those jurisdictions, the above exclusions and limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions remain in effect.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Operator and their successors, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising out of or related to:

• Your access to or use of the Service;
• Any purchase, transaction, or interaction you make with a retailer or other third party linked from the Service;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including any intellectual-property right);
• Any content you provide to the Operator, by any means, in connection with the Service.

The Operator may, at its own expense, assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with the Operator’s defense.

You voluntarily assume all risk of any kind arising out of or related to your access to and use of the Service.

That includes, without limitation, the risk that any displayed price, image, description, availability indicator, expiration flag, or outbound link is wrong, out of date, stale, mis-tagged, duplicated, or fraudulently posted at source; that any retailer you transact with fails to ship, ships the wrong item, charges you incorrectly, declines a return, or goes out of business; that an outbound URL leads to a malicious, defaced, or impersonating site; that the Service goes offline or loses data; that the Service introduces an error, regression, or unintended behaviour at any time; and any other harm or inconvenience you or anyone else suffers in connection with the Service. You acknowledge that you are exclusively responsible for verifying any information before acting on it, and that no provision of these Terms shifts any of that risk back to the Operator.

The Operator shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance, or any disruption, defect, or unavailability of the Service, arising in whole or in part from any cause beyond the Operator’s reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God; natural disasters; fire; flood; severe weather; pandemic, epidemic, or quarantine; war, terrorism, civil unrest, or sabotage; government action, embargo, or sanctions; labour disputes; failures, outages, throttling, deplatforming, suspension, or policy changes of any third-party host, content delivery network, database provider, authentication provider, source-data provider (including Reddit, Inc.), domain registrar, certificate authority, or internet-service provider; cyberattacks, denial-of-service attacks, or other malicious traffic; software or hardware defects in third-party components; and changes in law or regulation. Outages from any such cause do not constitute a breach of these Terms and entitle you to no remedy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and the Operator each agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved on an individual basis only and not as a class, collective, representative, or consolidated action. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against the Operator. If a court finds this class-action waiver unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) shall be severed and proceed in court; the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in force.

Nothing displayed on the Service constitutes legal, financial, tax, investment, consumer-protection, medical, safety, or other professional advice. The Service is for general informational and entertainment purposes only. You should consult a qualified professional before making any purchase, investment, or other decision that materially affects you.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or territory subject to a comprehensive trade embargo by the government of the State of Victoria, Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United Nations, or Australia, and that you are not listed on any sanctions list maintained by any of those bodies. You further warrant that you will not use the Service in violation of any applicable export-control or sanctions law.

Nothing in these Terms, and nothing about your use of the Service, creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, consultancy, fiduciary, franchise, distributor, or similar relationship between you and the Operator. Neither party has authority to bind the other to any obligation.

The Service contains links and references to third-party retailers, subreddits, and other external sites. Those sites are operated by parties independent of the Operator. The Operator does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, products, services, advertising, privacy practices, security, or any other aspect of any third party.

When you click through to a third-party site you leave the Service and become subject to that third party’s terms and privacy policies. Any transaction you conduct with a third party is solely between you and that third party.

Deal listings shown on the Service are fetched from publicly available RSS feeds and similar public surfaces of third-party platforms (e.g. Reddit) in a manner intended to comply with those platforms’ usage rules at the time of fetch. The Operator is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Reddit, Inc. or any subreddit, moderator, or content author. Original posts are attributed by link back to the source thread.

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or interfere with any other user’s use of the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, to any other account, to any data, or to any server, computer, or network connected to the Service.
• Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Service for any purpose without our prior written permission, other than ordinary indexing by recognized search engines.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or origin in connection with use of the Service.
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service, its data, or any content displayed.

We reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to investigate and take action against any conduct we determine, in our sole discretion, to violate this section, including suspending or blocking your access.

The Operator may, at any time and in its sole discretion, with or without notice and with or without cause:

• Modify, suspend, discontinue, or remove the Service or any part of it;
• Change the features, content, or terms of the Service;
• Block or terminate your access to the Service;
• Revise these Terms (effective upon posting).

Your continued use of the Service after any change to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept any change, your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.

The Service is provided as a personal hobby project. The Operator has no obligation to maintain, support, update, upgrade, repair, or restore the Service, to fix any errors, to respond to any communication, or to keep the Service available for any period of time. The Service may go offline, become unavailable, or be discontinued permanently at any time, without notice, and you will have no recourse for any loss arising from such interruption or termination.

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You and the Operator each irrevocably agree that the courts of the State of Victoria, Australia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation, and you irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

A failure or delay by the Operator to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination of your access to the Service shall so survive, including without limitation Sections 4 (AS IS), 5 (Limitation of Liability), 6 (Indemnification), 7 (Assumption of Risk), 9 (Class-Action Waiver), 12 (No Agency), 18 (Governing Law and Forum), and this Section 20.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals (whether oral, written, or electronic) between you and the Operator on the subject.
